Damage Deposit – A $500.00 damage deposit will be held and fully refunded if the boat is returned damage free. Any damages incurred to the boat or equipment are the full responsibility of the renter and will be charged to the credit card on file before the $500.00 damage deposit is released. If the damages exceed the damage deposit, they are still the sole responsibility of the
renter and will be charged accordingly.
Cancellation Policy – Reservations must be canceled 14 days prior to the rental date to avoid a $250 late cancel charge. Reservations made on holiday weekends (Memorial Day, Fathers’ Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) will not be refunded. If hazardous weather is predicted (lightning, high winds, etc.), we will try to move you to another day if possible, and if not a full refund will be given. No-shows will result in the full amount of the rental plus tax charged to the credit card on file.
Late Arrival Policy – Renters should contact 208 Boat Rentals in advance of their rental time if they will be more than 15 minutes late. Renters should arrive 30 minutes before their start time to receive safety and boat orientation, and to ask any questions. Start Time/Return Time will remain the same despite late arrival, and orientation must be completed prior to taking the boat out.
Late Return Policy – Failure to return the boat and equipment at the stated return time will incur a $250.00 fee as well as the prorated amount for the time. Especially for half-day rentals, it is crucial to return on time to ensure that 208 Boat Rentals has enough time to prepare and deliver the boat to the next renters.
Fuel Policy – The boat will be delivered with a full fuel tank. If you prefer not to refuel the boat before returning it, we can provide that service with a $50.00 refueling fee in addition to the cost of fuel, which will be charged to the card on file. If there are no open fuel stations on the selected lake, 208 Boat Rentals will refuel the boat and only charge the cost of fuel.
Hours of Operation – The boat can be operated between the hours of 8:00 am and 7:00 pm. If it is a multi-day rental, the boat should not be operated after dark.
